Shelter Cymru – Inspect a House
On 13th March Shelter Cymru has an expert on Disrepair facilitating a course ‘Inspecting a House’ in Cardiff. Don’t miss the opportunity for your organisation to attend the course and gain vital information that can assist you with disrepair matters and housing inspections.
The course aims to:
– Introduce participants to basic terminology used in traditional and some modern housing construction
– To provide basic information on how to carry out a house inspection including what to look for and how to report on the defects identified and conditions found.
– To put inspection of dwellings (houses and flats) into a legal context
The course includes a DVD of an inspection as an example and a short walking tour of local buildings.
The course is suitable for workers in housing or related fields who need to inspect properties or understand inspection reports as part of their work and who need to be able to communicate their findings. Previous experience of house inspection or report writing is not required.
