FREE Making Every Contact Count Training

5th March 2014 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

FULLY BOOKED

Would you like to make a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of your clients and service users?

This C3SC and VCVS training is aimed at equipping you with the knowledge and skills you will need to engage one-to-one with clients and service users and improve their health and well-being. It will include how to tackle difficult subjects like smoking cessation, sensible drinking, healthy eating and fitness.

The training, designed through multiagency working, is being offered to all staff and volunteers in the local health board, third sector and local authorities to create a culture of capitalising on the contacts we all have with our clients and service users.

“The emphasis is not about telling people how to live, but rather that their choices are at least informed.”

This 2-hour training course will provide an overview of brief intervention working and will enable you to provide the right information at the right time to help your service users improve their health and well-being.

The course is also being run in Cardiff on Monday 17 February.
