Race Equality First – Ethnic Minority Employment Skills Project
The Get Noticed, Get Hired training is FREE and is designed to assist individuals who want to communicate their skills, knowledge and experience to potential employers. The training is for anybody who wishes to gain employment, find a new job or apply for a new role. The training will help you to design a CV to help you get noticed by a potential employer, explore what you should expect at interview and how to communicate to interviewers you are a potential candidate for the job.
   
What you will learn:

– Identifying your transferable skills
– How to write a strong CV that will enhance your chance of getting an interview
– How to decode job applications 
– Tailoring your CV for each job application
– Where and how to look for new work
– Preparing you for the interview
– Making a great first impression
– How to sell yourself with confidence and stand out from the crowd
– Demonstrating examples of how your skills match the requirements of the job
– How to shine at a structured competency based interview
– How to handle your nerves
– How to respond positively to those challenging questions
– How to handle rejection when you are not selected for the job

   

Time for each day: 10am – 3pm (lunch will be provided)
