AimsTo provide an overview of social investment and how it works. Identifying potential providers of social investment and the basic requirements to be investment ready
ContentIncreasingly ‘social investment’ is being used as an alternative way of financing growth within third sector organisations. There are many different types, but social investment is best described as investment for organisations that provides a social as well as a financial return. Typical examples include loans, social impact bonds and philanthropy capital. This workshop will introduce participants to social investment and understand what is required to attract finance from a social investor
Learning outcomesBy the end of the course participants will have learned / be able to:

– Understand what social investment is and the various types of investment available to third sector organisations
