Austerity and resilience – Brave New World?
Citizens Advice Cymru will be hosting this one day conference to discuss what challenges and opportunities there will be for us all in tackling poverty in Wales in the coming years.
Who should attend:
· Key decision makers from organisations providing a public service within the private, voluntary and public sectors
· Chairs and Trustees, staff and volunteers, who have an interest in strong partnerships and an increased opportunity for cross-organisation working
What the event will offer:
· Hear our conference Chair, Jonathan Butterworth (Co-founder and Director of Just Fair) reflect on justice and fairness through human rights
· Learn from our keynote speakers Duncan Forbes (Chief Executive, Bryn Afon Community Housing) and Daisy Sands (Policy and Campaigns Manager, Fawcett Society)sharing their thoughts on tackling poverty in Wales
· Hear direct from clients about what the issues and barriers are when approaching public services; discuss with colleagues from across the sector what we can do to improve these experiences
· Find out more about the work and the challenges they will face during this period of considerable change
· Engage in discussion sessions with the speakers and other conference attendees and share opinions and solutions
