Attachment: Children’s Rights and Needs

12th June 2013

This Attachment Network Wales Conference will explore the interrelationship between attachment and children’s and young people’s rights and needs, and how these are reflected in the approaches of policy makers and practitioners.

Keynote speakers will include academics and practitioners who will focus on attachment and children’s human rights.

Participants will be able to choose from a number of practical and discursive workshops on a wide range of issues affecting children and young people. Workshops will be coordinated by experts with experience of attachment and children’s rights. Participants will be encouraged to focus on how these two important agendas impact on children and young people in different areas, and to consider how practitioners and policy makers might benefit from a better understanding of the interrelationship between attachment and rights.
