The morning conference, The Third Sector and Families First – Opportunities for joint working, will offer you an opportunity to explore how Families First came to be, to plan how agencies can work in partnership to deliver the programme and, for those organisations not presently included in the Families First programme, to come together to find out what opportunities exist to become engaged with Families First as well as work with other anti-poverty programmes.

After lunch, the afternoon conference, Substance Misuse Consultation – the road ahead for Cardiff and Vale, will pick up on the themes of the morning. It will provide an opportunity to consider the learning from Families First commissioning in relation to the consultation on the new commissioning model for substance misuse services in Cardiff and the Vale. The new Tier 2 Children and Young People’s service will also be introduced. So, come along to have your say on the future of funding for Substance Misuse Services.
