Following a very successful first training session on due regard, Swansea University has fixed a date for a second training event. The price is £50 per participant (maximum 25 participants). They will be considering the meaning of ‘due regard’ and how the Welsh Ministers should approach the discharge of their due regard duty under Section 1 of the Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure 2011. The workshop will also examine what might be the implications for law and policy making in Wales (including implications for the local government and NGO sectors). The session includes a practical workshop session in which we will consider a recent policy or legislative proposal from the Welsh Government from a due regard perspective.
