Aims

To improve delegates’ ability to assist tenants in debt, in order to improve their financial situation and ultimately prevent eviction. Delegates will learn methods and tactics for dealing with a range of debts commonly experienced including rent, utilities, credit cards and other consumer debts.

Course includes

– causes of debt
– priority & non-priority debts
– sanctions available to creditors
– maximising tenants’ income
– disconnection of services & repossessions
– negotiate with creditors
