Introduction to Communication Skills for Advocacy

This course covers:

– Presenting an issue concisely and effectively.
– Techniques to improve confidence and clarity of communication. (inc, breathing techniques, pacing speech, eye contact).
– Using the voice to command authority and confidence.
– Helping client / external party see the situation from different perspectives.
– How to question external parties to help reach your client’s objective.
– Practical ways to establish credibility / authority in external meeting situations.
– How the choice of questions and words determine the quality of response.

This course is run by FreshTies, supported by Ethnic Minority Communities First – Cardiff.
