Charity Law Conference – Keeping Things Shipshape
Titled Keeping things ship-shape, the WCVA 2012 Charity Law conference focuses on how groups like yours can put good governance into practice. Supported by Geldards law firm and taking place at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, 16 May, the day will aim to help organisations run their affairs efficiently and avoid legal pitfalls.
Speakers are set to include Dave Walker of the Charity Commission, who will look at some of the serious cases the Commission has dealt with over the years, and representatives of Geldards, who will discuss changes in charity law over the last year and how groups can avoid the legal traps of volunteer management.
– The Information Commissioner’s Office on data protection policy
– The Health and Safety Executive on separating health and safety fact from fiction
– Age Cymru on the positives and problems of life after merger
– And many more
