This is a 2 day course delivered by Welsh Womens Aid, aimed at professionals and volunteers working with women who are experiencing or who have experienced domestic abuse. By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Understand the dynamics of domestic abuse

Understand the effects of domestic abuse on those who experience it

Understand the relationship between gender roles and domestic abuse

Understand how domestic abuse affects women from different cultures and backgrounds

Understand the main issues of providing an appropriate and sensitive service to women who experience domestic abuse
