Cardiff Third Sector Council was set up in 1997 to provide a range of support services and resources to community groups and voluntary organisations, partnerships and networks in Cardiff. Central to our mission is a range of advice and support ranging from governance to finance, volunteering, funding, planning, communication, training, partnership, participation, influencing policy and more.

The Community Outreach Volunteer role is suitable for anyone with an interest in supporting people in local communities to find opportunities for volunteering, signposting them to C3SC for support, and helping them to find charities and activities in their local community.
You will be provided with induction, support, and training. C3SC is the umbrella charity for Cardiff, and we support all kinds of voluntary action. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the team at C3SC and make a real difference in the community!
General tasks:
- Oversee stalls at drop-in sessions, fairs, and community days at various community locations.
- Support people to find suitable volunteering opportunities
- Signpost people to C3SC for information, advice, and support or to other charities and activities in the community.

Job summary
In partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, we are recruiting a Macmillan Cancer Social Prescriber (Band 4) to support delivery of the Improving my Cancer Journey (ICJ) service within the Primary, Community and Intermediate Care (PCIC) Directorate across Cardiff and the Vale.
This role supports people affected by cancer through a non-clinical, community-based social prescribing approach, working primarily within primary care and community settings.
The postholder will act as a friendly point of contact from referral, holding personalised conversations to understand what matters most to people and supporting them to access community, voluntary sector and wellbeing services alongside their cancer care. Approved ICJ conversation tools will be used in line with agreed protocols to support consistent, high-quality non-clinical discussions.
Working as part of the wider ICJ team and under the supervision of the Macmillan Project Manager, the postholder will work closely with primary care, cancer teams, community organisations and third sector partners. The role focuses on information, signposting and navigation, with clear professional boundaries and appropriate escalation when required.
Welsh language skills are desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply. This post is fixed term due to Macmillan funding, with potential for extension subject to future funding. Secondment applicants must obtain line manager approval prior to application.

ACE – Action in Caerau and Ely are currently recruiting for a Community Health Development Work to join their team. Details below:
Community Health Development Worker
Taking a lead role in building partnerships with local community organisations and service providers; working collaboratively to identify and fill gaps in local health and wellbeing provision; and supporting the development of a mix of volunteer-led and service-provider led groups, courses, activities and services to serve the Cluster areas. This role will focus on the Cardiff North area (including Cyncoed, Heath, Lisvane, Llanedeyrn, Llanishen, Old St Mellons, Pentwyn, Penylan, Pontprennau, Rhiwbina, Thornhill).
Hours: 30 / week
Salary: £29,814 per annum (pro rata).
Contract: End of January 2027 (with possible extension depending on funding)

The Role: Deputy Regional Manager
This is an exciting time to join our South East Regional Team. As the Deputy Regional Manager, you will play a key part in supporting the Region’s curriculum provision and income generation activities, as well as contributing to driving quality and continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices, by supporting the regional delivery staff.

Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)
This 2-year programme is designed for candidates with at least three years of relevant experience within the last five years, including sectors such as:
- Criminal justice (courts, probation, CPS)
- Armed forces, border force, prison service
- Emergency services (fire, ambulance, coastguard, policing roles)
- Customer service or public service environments
- Investigative roles (including financial, digital, or cyber investigations)
- Health and social care
This is a Level 5, non-accredited programme combining practical and theoretical training, with an option to gain accreditation in year 3.
