Person Centred Creativity training
3-day Cardiff Council training course: 14th, 15th and 17th November
This course is for care/support workers, seniors, supervisors and management staff working in social care. No previous experience or training is necessary. Participants do not require any particular artistic ability.
Course content:
- The relationship between creativity and well-being
- The evidence base for innovative working
- Experiential group work, understanding the process from the recipient’s perspective
- Creating safe environments
- Designing, implementing and evaluating creative programmes
Learning outcomes:
- Understanding the use of intentionality in creative interventions
- Understand own role in person – centred planning
- Be able to design creative programmes that promote Active Support
- Be able to facilitate therapeutic group activities
Taught over 3 days, the course is based on experiential learning with delegates developing a toolkit of practical creative activities that can be used with a wide range of service user /client groups. This is a highly interactive and emotionally engaging learning experience.
A certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who attend the whole of each 3 days.
