Increase the potential of heritage organisations to develop opportunities and proposals for companies, which could increase revenue funding through sponsorship
This course takes a practical approach to fundraising from companies and assumes some knowledge of sponsorship and corporate fundraising. It is intended for those who already have fundraising experience, wanting to increase their understanding of the potential for fundraising from companies, specifically with regard to developing and managing sponsorship opportunities and corporate partnerships.
Target group: Trustees, staff and volunteers in heritage organisations including museums, libraries, archives and environment/ natural heritage organisations
Learning outcomes:
By attending this course you will be able to:
- Understand what motivates companies to give
- Identify and develop opportunities to attract sponsorship
- Create a plan for fundraising from companies
- Develop appropriate pitch for support
- Understand how to evaluate and monitor performance
- Understand the regulatory and tax implications of sponsorship
