Co-production in Practice

- The aim of this Participation Cymru training course is to introduce the concept of co-production and how it can be used in the design and delivery of public services.
- Co-production if done well can ensure that citizens have a meaningful voice and are at centre of the design and delivery of public services. This course will look at the current Welsh context for co-production and demystify the terminology around co-production. Factors that need to be in place for co-production to thrive, such as a cultural shift to enable shared power with citizens and an asset based approach will be considered as well as the benefits and challenges of working in a co-productive way. Case studies highlighting co-production in practice will be shared during the course and there will be the opportunity to practice a number of participative planning tools.
