For those of you who may not be aware, the Winter Fuel Support Scheme has been extended to 28th February and the amount available has increased to £200.
Households who applied for the original £100 payment will automatically receive the additional £100 in the coming weeks.
Single person eligibility:
- You are responsible for paying the fuel bills at your property
- You have not received a payment under the scheme before.
- You are in receipt of a qualifying working age means-tested welfare benefit at any time between 1st December 2021 and 31st January 2022
Couple eligibility:
- You, your partner, or both of you are responsible for paying the fuel bills at your property
- You or your partner have not received a payment under the scheme before.
- You, your partner, or both of you are in receipt of a qualifying working age means-tested welfare benefit at any time between 1st December and 31st January 2022.
Eligible benefits are:
- Income Support,
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance, or
- Income Based Employments and Support Allowance, or
- Universal Credit, or
- Working Tax Credits
