The joint Welsh Government and Job Centre Plus ‘Communities for Work’ programme was launched yesterday in Newport. See the press release on the WEFO website.

The first phase of the programme will support economically inactive and long-term unemployed people aged over 25 in the 52 Communities First areas across Wales.  Part two of the programme, which is expected to be rolled out this summer, will focus on supporting 16- to 24-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training. Ministers will make a further announcement about the second phase of the programme in the coming weeks.
