The Peer Partnership is the sibling organisation of Brigstowe, the Bristol-based charity for people living with HIV. The Peer Partnership works with organisations and people living with long-term health conditions to create effective, safe, and user-led peer support services. A successful project provided a peer-support service for people with Long Covid; we have also developed programmes for people with endometriosis, Irritable Bowel Disease and experiencing menopause, among others.
We design and deliver training workshops, bespoke training, resources, consultancy, and service delivery strategies for the successful delivery of peer support. We advocate for the widespread acceptance and use of peer support as a valid and essential tool to support the resilience of people living in difficult or challenging circumstances.

Boundaries in the Workplace – Tuesday, 24 February 2026 || 9:30am – 1:30pm (4 hours)
Our workshop explores the various aspects of boundaries in the workplace, using open discussion of our own boundaries, case studies of situations that can arise, and how we can manage the maintenance of boundaries through internal and external policies and personal accountability.

Group Dynamics and Facilitation Workshop – Thursday, 26 February 2026 || 9:30am – 1:30pm (4 hours)
Groups can be organic and unpredictable, with each instance bringing new personalities and new complications. By learning how groups form, engage, and resist, and by understanding how to create an environment that emphasises the needs of the group as well as those of the individuals within it, support groups can maintain focus, cohesion, and effectiveness.

Recognising and Responding to Challenging Behaviour Workshop – Tuesday, 3 March 2026 || 9:30am – 1:30pm (4 hours)
Working with people with complex lives can be difficult, especially when service users might display defensive, aggressive, or disengaging behaviours that can interrupt constructive and meaningful engagement. This workshop explores the causes, biomechanics, strategies, and timings to manage and de-escalate potentially difficult circumstances.

This new workshop is designed to equip support professionals and people with lived experience with the knowledge and skills to effectively collaborate and to co-create services that meet the needs of all stakeholders.

These are virtual, two-hour sessions with people from across sectors and the UK and completely FREE.
