Cardiff Council have just released their Food and Nutrition Skills for those providing Care training schedule, with some availability left. The course aims to increase knowledge and skills in food and nutrition. Before booking on, it is recommended to discuss your training needs with your manager to obtain their approval before registering for the course.

Aims and Objectives
What is the course about? The course aims to increase knowledge and skills in food and nutrition. Following the course, participants will be able to pass on basic, up-to-date information to those they work with and support them to eat well. in ways appropriate to their needs and circumstances. The course will provide ideas and resources to use with client groups
Who is the course for? This course is for anyone working with older people, for example, carers, nursing assistants, chefs, managers, volunteers and those providing care. What time commitment is involved? The course involves 20 hours of learning and is set at level 2 which is worth two credits upon completion. The course is delivered as 12 hours of session time, over 6 weeks and 8 hours of self-directed learning at home.
There is a £15 cost for the certification which will be paid by Cardiff Council
After completion of this award you will have the opportunity to continue to further training to obtain the Gold Snack Award |
