- 📢 Hosted by Mind Cymru, Diverse Cymru and EYST
This event will take place online, via Zoom. Sign up on the form below or email peersupport@mind.org.uk for more information.
About the event
The event aims to talk about how community groups support our wellbeing. There will be talks from Youth workers at EYST on the informal support for young people of colour in Wales, the support Diverse Cymru provides including the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Mental Health Project, and talks from young people of colour from the Strength Within Project – talking about overcoming stigma through coming together in peer support. We’ll also have a breakout conversation around the benefit of youth, faith, community and support groups.
About Side by Side Cymru
Side by Side Cymru has supported faith, community and youth groups across Wales with funding, training and support. Since 2018, the project has reached over 4000 people through the support we’ve provided through local hubs. As part of our Side by Side Cymru project with Diverse Cymru and EYST, we’re running a grant scheme for community groups led by and for young people and black, ethnic and minoritised communities. If you’re part of a community, faith, youth or support group in Wales, you can apply for up to £500 for your group. Find out more on how to apply.
