Join Save the Children for the launch of a report into the findings of a research project called Pause to Play / Hoe am Hwyl. This event will be of interest to anyone who is engaged with or interested in how poverty impacts on the early years development of children.
Pause to Play is an 18 month research project coordinated by Save the Children Cymru in partnership with Cardiff Council Parenting, Home Start Cymru, Action in Caerau and Ely (ACE) and OASIS Cardiff.
Save the Children wanted to find out if providing a grant to families with young children would make a difference:
- to parents’ stress levels and ability to support their children’s’ learning and development
- if a supported intervention would improve parent’s engagement in additional engagement activities
- which features of engagement activities and interventions were most effective.
They conducted in-depth interviews with families who received a grant and partners who delivered the support.
The event will take place at St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff, Main Building Auditorium on Thursday 30 March 2023, 10.30 – 12.30 followed by a light networking lunch!
