FAN Charity (Friends and Neighbours) – Weekly Meetings

FAN (Friends And Neighbours) are a charity with lots of weekly meetings, (usually for an hour) providing an opportunity for local people and those from around the world to come together to talk and listen to each other in a friendly and relaxed way.

As COVID-19 regulations ease, several FAN groups have started to return to meeting face to face. Risk assessments are carried out and the groups adhere to the latest government regulations and those from the venue where they meet.

There are FAN groups in Cardiff, Barry, Bridgend, Swansea, Newport and beyond, with both virtual and in-person meetings taking place every day other than Sunday.

Every group will give a warm welcome, providing an opportunity for people to make new friends and catch up with old ones, something which has been particularly valuable for people who have been isolated during lockdown.

For those learning English, FAN meetings are a supportive environment where they can practice their conversational skills with friendly, encouraging people.

Meetings are free, non-religious and non-political.

If you or someone you know would like to attend a FAN group to find out what we do, please visit their website: https://www.thefancharity.org/ or find them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/THEFANCHARITY/
