The Connecting Learners project has organised an “autumn round” of their flagship workshop: Essential Skills & Dyslexia Awareness. Aimed at staff development managers/co-ordinators, HR officers and anyone with line management responsibility – this free one day workshop will look at the Welsh Governments programme to improve adult literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
Participants will:
– Investigate essential skills and dyslexia in the context of the workplace and adult education
– Identify funding streams to support staff with essential skills needs
– Discuss dyslexia and how this relates to legislation
How to apply:
The workshop is offered free of charge to staff and volunteers in the community-voluntary sector, housing associations and also independent care sector. All costs will be met by the Connecting Learners project. Refreshments and lunch will also be provided.
