We would like to highlight Eleeza Khan for winning the Young Volunteer of the Year Award at the Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2022.

Eleeza is a qualified grassroots level football referee and also works closely with the Cardiff Youth Service. She has completed various different work experience opportunities with Cardiff Youth Service, including Young Inspectors, Young Interviewers and Young Commissioners. She has also completed her Bronze and Silver DofE with the Cardiff Youth Service and going on to Gold. She works closely with the Grange Pavilion Youth Forum where we have a safe space for various young people to hang out and organise various fun activities. As a Muslim and South Asian young woman, she is often the only one at football events and matches. They are represented as a niche, but the reality is they are not. The world is changing, and Eleeza is driving it forward. She helps support and offer opportunities to more people like her and helps empower our local community.

Thank you so much for all your hard work in supporting your local community.
