CUSTOMER SERVICES/EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS COURSE FOR YP 16-25

A message on behalf of the Princes Trust Cymru:

  • A live Get Started with Customer Service with Transport for Wales. A FREE 1-week course being delivered over 5 days Monday – Friday at our Cardiff Centre. We have 12 spaces
  • The outcome of this programme is to help young people to prepare for work by developing their communication, presentation, and customer service skills, support on writing a CV and personal statement, preparing for an interview, and understanding expected behaviours once employed. This is for young people who would like to explore working in ANY type of customer service role or looking to improve their employability skills for future employment.

Dates

**Taster Day for will be Tuesday 5th October at 11am**

  • Course – Monday 11th October – Friday 15th October
  • Times TBC but between 10am-4pm – sessions will have several breaks throughout
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed
  • Meals will be provided

Criteria

  • Living within travelling distance of our Cardiff Centre
  • Unemployed/Furlough or in part time work/part time education
  • Aged 16-25

On this course young people will be

  • Develop an understanding of behaviours and the impact for customer service roles
  • Improve communication and presentation skills
  • Understand what good customer service is
  • Learn how to manage conflict
  • Learn how to improve resilience in the workplace
  • Discover how to get a job in customer service including support with CV and personal statement writing
  • Session on preparing for an interview
  • Hear from inspirational guest speakers about their life experiences
  • Connect with other young people
  • Be offered 1-1 support throughout and for 3 months after the course
  • Gateway on to other Princes Trust Programmes
