Fuel Bank Foundation

Fuel Bank Foundation (FBF) has a scheme available that works like a Food Bank but with Fuel Vouchers. FBF is keen for more groups to become Fuel Banks and is happy to receive applications – may be of interest to Warm Spaces, Food Banks & Food Pantries.

NEA

National Energy Action (NEA) provides Training – National Energy Action (NEA) and multi-lingual information leaflets and resources to front line staff and people providing information and advice to people in fuel poverty. Energy Saving Trust (EST)

Energy Saving Trust (EST) administers the Energy Redress Scheme. The scheme distributes voluntary payments through funding to groups and charities from Ofgem licensees that may have breached rules. Funding amounts vary and are reviewed on a quarterly basis. EST currently run four funding streams, focused particularly on energy end use:

  • Small Projects Fund
  • Main Fund • Innovation Fund
  • Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund (CERF) – (Presentation attached with further information and contacts)
Wales & West Utilities

Wales & West Utilities has funding available to spend on projects which can support consumers in vulnerable situations and/or raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide to help keep people safe. The National Digital Inclusion Network: Wales – Good Things Foundation Digital Communities Wales’ partner, Good Things Foundation, are helping thousands of vulnerable people in communities across the UK to get connected through their National Databank. The databank is tackling data poverty head on by providing free SIMS and mobile data to people in need.

Manage financial difficulties in your charity arising from cost of living pressures. – Charity Commission dedicated guidance page signposting trustees to guidance and support on offer as charities face increasing costs and demands on their services.  The resources on the page are drawn from our existing longer form guidance and will provide a starting point for trustees on governance as they tackle the cost of living, and in particular greater financial challenges in running their charity.
