Carers Information and Support Programme (CrISP)

Alzheimer’s Society Cardiff and the Vale offers courses for family carers to learn more about dementia in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. They run over 4 weeks on Wednesday mornings. There will be a course running in the Vale during June/July. If you know of any carers that may be interested or would like more information, please ring Matt Quinn on (029) 2043 4969.

The Watch My Needs Project

This is a new and innovative project funded by the Big Lottery through ACE Cardiff. Its aim is to give people recently diagnosed with dementia and their families the opportunity to learn some Makaton, a language that involves not only speech but also signs and symbols. It is an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and make new friends during the fun and informative sessions.

For more information, please contact Gerry Puttock on 029 2047 1241 or gerald.puttock@acecardiff.org.uk or Rosie Tope on 07973 250297 or rosie@herc.org.uk

If you would like more information on any of the above events or if you have any queries or would like to discuss any other matter, please ring Oldwell Court on (029) 2043 4960.
