Work around Resilient Communities

Here is a message from the WCVA, with an update on the work around Resilient Communities:

“Following on from the work around Resilient Communities  the discussion document is now live on our website. This is drawn on the discussions we’ve had as the planning group for the meetings with the Cabinet Secretary for Communities & Children. If any of you wish to have your organisation/network added or removed from this document please do just let us know.

Please could you circulate this to your networks  and encourage groups to use it to start discussing their ideas. We’d love to hear the experiences and ideas of different groups across Wales. Contact details are on the discussion document.

We’re also gathering vlogs for the webpage, capturing people’s ideas. It would be great if key networks like yours could post something quick (60seconds) max, with what you think –  eg top 3 things that need to happen to enable more resilient communities. We’d also love to post any blogs from networks or organisations. Please contact Danny Owen [email protected] or Russell Todd [email protected] for more information if you wish to do this.

We are looking at how we can use the discussion paper and other resources over the end of the summer and first half of September. We hope it’s useful for you too and please let us know if you want to promote activities you’re doing. Please join us next week for the discussion panel at the Eisteddfod. Details here.

We’ll be using what comes out of the discussion to develop a position paper for the Cabinet Secretary. Please could you feedback any contributions towards this by 13 September to Anna Nicholl – [email protected]
