Community members in Ely and Caerau will face impossible choices between heating and eating this winter, due to rising fuel prices, cuts to Universal Credit and the impact of COVID-19. Action in Caerau and Ely (ACE), a Citizens Cymru Wales member institution, are reaching out to vulnerable neighbours with thoughtful gifts alongside practical help to access support with fuel costs.
The amazing volunteers at the Dusty Forge Pantry will make up ‘Stay warm at home packs’ including hats, gloves, blankets and hot chocolate to deliver to anyone in our community struggling with their heating bills. We want to raise £1000 to deliver 40 packs this winter. Could you help?
Just £5 funds a new pair of gloves, £25 funds a whole ‘stay warm at home’ pack.
As well as donating, there are lots of other ways you can help.

Do you know anyone who receives the Winter Fuel Payment who might be interested in donating it to a good cause? We are encouraging people who don’t need help towards paying their energy bills to consider gifting some or all of their Winter Fuel payment to support others to stay warm and well.
