WCVA is seeking to commission an evaluation of the impact and process of the Volunteering Wales Grants and the impact of the Youth Led Grants.
Volunteering Wales Grants and Youth Led Grants are funded by the Welsh Government with the main aim of increasing volunteering activity across Wales. In April 2017, the Volunteering Wales Grants were awarded to 49 projects with a target to support 1758 individual volunteers to achieve 174,014 hours of volunteering by March 31st 2018.
In 2017/18, Youth Led Grants will be awarded by 19 Youth Led Grant panels (in one area, four grant panels are run as one). These grants will be allocated to local projects with the aim of providing youth led opportunities for a minimum of 50 young people, including the young people within the panel, providing opportunities for 1100 young people in total across Wales.
The evaluation will take place between September and November 2017 and the findings will influence the future developments of the Volunteering Wales and Youth Led Grants.
Full details of the evaluation can be seen here.
