Looking back on this past year has highlighted how imperative volunteering is to sustaining our community through a difficult trial. Throughout this time our volunteers have played a significant role in ensuring communities obtain the essentials they need through the pandemic.
Moving forwards, as an organisation, we would like to continue working in partnership with local communities to ensure that we are listening to their voices. The impact of working alongside volunteers has shown us that volunteers play an integral part in the future of a better society. Since the pandemic, the infrastructure of volunteering has shifted and micro and digital volunteering has become very popular. We hope to build on this and ensure we are paving the way for accessible and flexible volunteering.
