#VolunteersWeek Day 1 – Launch

What a year it has been! Volunteers across the nation have come together to keep our communities safe, looked after and fed. Volunteering has brought to light, how much we need each other and for communities to successfully develop. We would like to say a huge thank you for the time you spared and continue to give.

Ebed Akotia, Volunteer Centre Manager shares his personal experience about volunteering:

“Volunteering opened many opportunities for my self-development and career. Through volunteering, I’ve contributed my time and resources to several community social actions groups as a Patron, Assessor, Facilitator, Project Lead and build a classroom in a small village; whilst meeting people from all walks of life….these adventures built my confidence and taught me new emotional, socio-cultural and professional skills and interests that is still of benefit in my day-to-day life.”

Volunteering is at the heart of our organisation and makes up one of our core pillars at C3SC. At the Volunteer Centre, we strongly believe that volunteering contributes to the quality of life of the individual and the communities they support.

We would like to say thank you once again to all the volunteers that have supported their local community in this past year. We would like to say an additional thank you to our trustees, internal volunteers and external volunteers at the Volunteer Centre, we appreciate all the work you have done this past year.
