Unpaid Carers Engagement – Carers Charter

The Unpaid Carers Charter aims to help people in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan understand if they, or someone they know, might be an unpaid carer. The Charter also pledges the commitment of partners across the region including; NHS, local authorities, voluntary and third sector organisations and outlines how they plan to develop their service to provide support to unpaid carers.

They are keen to hear from as many people as possible, and the first phase of engagement over the next 2-3 weeks is to focus on hearing from unpaid carers directly. The Unpaid Carers Charter have previously done an engagement exercise on developing the commitments, but this is to hopefully confirm this work and ensure that it is still relevant and meaningful to unpaid carers.
