Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2023: Inspiring Communities
We are pleased to announce the return of Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2023, organised by Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC). This year’s theme is ‘Inspiring Communities’, and this annual C3SC event celebrates the invaluable contributions of our diverse volunteering community and the many positive differences they have made in people’s lives. It is a real opportunity to come together to say thank you to everyone who contributes to our society through volunteering.
Following last year’s hugely successful hybrid event attended by over 100 people, this year’s ceremony sponsored by Wales & West Housing and supported by ACT, The Open University in Wales, United Welsh, Lovell, Monmouthshire Building Society, VividBlock IT, BE.Xcellence CIC, Cardiff and Vale College and Eversheds Sutherland, will follow the same hybrid format – it will be held in person at The Dragon Suite at The Angel Hotel, Castle Street, Cardiff CF10 1SZ and online via Zoom. The event will take place from 4pm on 15 November 2023 – in the same week as World Kindness Day.
Sheila Hendrickson-Brown, CEO at C3SC said, “At C3SC, we are aware that things are not getting any easier for many people with the cost-of-living crisis adding to an already uncertain environment. A strong network of volunteers is more vital than ever in such unpredictable times, and we never fail to feel inspired meeting and hearing about the people who volunteer their time to make positive differences within our communities. We feel that all our nominees are winners.’’
The awards ceremony will begin with lunch and networking as well as a chance to meet all our nominees. And we look forward to announcing the nominations and winners across ten categories to celebrate the extraordinary efforts made by volunteers in supporting our local communities in the last year.
