Polling station accessibility and walkthrough videos created to help all local communities

Local Councils have been working together to encourage electoral participation, particularly in under-represented groups. Part of this work has been to create videos to show what electors can expect at a polling station, and to hopefully make election day a more inclusive experience.

The first video is a ‘walk through a polling station’ video which is co-produced with adults with learning disabilities. Below are links to the English and Welsh version of the video.

·        English version: Voting at a polling station (youtube.com)

·        Welsh version: Pleidleisio mewn gorsaf bleidleisio (youtube.com)

The second deals with accessibility and the equipment available at the station.

·        English version:  Assistance with voting at a Polling Station for Disabled voters

·        Welsh version:  Cymorth i bleidleisio mewn gorsaf bleidleisio ar gyfer pleidleiswyr anabl

There are Police and Crime Commissioner Elections on 2nd May 2024, with a UK Parliamentary General Election due to take place at any time but not later than January 2025.

Please note that you will need photo ID to vote at a polling station for Police and Crime Commissioner elections and UK Parliamentary elections.
