Calling for: community led green space projects

The ‘Community Land Advisory Service Cymru Community Management Award’ began in 2019 and is run by Social Farms and Gardens to acknowledge the community management of green spaces. Green spaces include a range of vegetated land such as parks, community gardens, orchards, woodlands and hedges, informal green spaces, allotments and food growing sites, plus areas of water, including rivers, canals, lakes, ponds.
The criteria are:
- The group has not already received a CLAS award (unless for a different site)
- The group has not received Green Flag Award for the same site
- The group has permission to occupy the site it is working on
- The site is open or has opening times for the general public
- The group has relevant insurance to carry out the activities on the site
- The group is constituted (unincorporated or incorporated)
