Lioness Community Projects – Cardiff Youth Led Grant 2022/23 Case Study

Lioness Community Projects (LCP) was established to create a dedicated space for local youth. This space serves as an environment where young people can acquire new skills and nurture their talents through a series of well-being activities. Many of these skills have the potential to offer long-term benefits to the young people, including improved social and public speaking skills.

As one of the beneficiaries of the Youth-Led Grant, on 14th of January 2023, LCP started a series of events which focused on education and developing the skills, talents, and hobbies of the young volunteers. These events lasted over the course of three months, ending in March. All events were opened to the public, with guests in attendance ranging in age from 15-25. During the events, attendees had the chance to engage in art, music and dancing, poetry and storytelling, radio broadcasting sessions, and many more activities.
