Greenpeace UK are running an Operation Climate Vote Kick Off event in Cardiff on Sunday 10th September – and you’re invited! This will be an opportunity to learn about our newest campaign, Operation Climate Vote, and how to get involved. We are inviting people from across Wales (we can cover travel costs), and we wanted to let people from your local community know about it.

Here is a link to the event

We’ll be sharing plans for our newest campaign, Operation Climate Vote, and delivering training on how to have climate conversations in your area. This’ll be a unique opportunity to train with Greenpeace staff in-person, learn how to canvass, and link up with others in your area.

We hope you can make it – please feel free to bring a friend (or three)! Please share this event with your network, we are keen for as many people to come along as possible.

Event details:

When: Sunday 10th September, 10am – 4pm

Where: King Edward VII Ave, Cardiff CF10 3AP, United Kingdom

Afternoon – Going out to canvass, developing new skills and techniques on how to have climate conversations.

This is a free event! We can cover travel expenses, and will be providing lunch and snacks. Please book your travel in advance to help keep costs down, and bring your receipts to the event to get reimbursed.

What is Operation Climate Vote?

We know climate solutions exist, and we know transformational climate action is possible. It brings lower bills and millions of new green jobs, so it will be popular too.

An election is coming, and we’re going to use it to tell the public what’s possible and force the next government – whoever that may be – to take climate action seriously. We have a plan, and we want you to pitch in.

This is Operation Climate Vote. From the streets to social media, over the phone and on the doorstep – we’re going to have 1-1 conversations with our friends, neighbours, colleagues and strangers about the climate. Street by street, town by town: we’ll recruit one million climate voters and build a climate majority that is rooted in local communities.

You are not alone in caring about the climate, and we are going to show people that they are not alone either. For our friends, family and future, join Operation Climate Vote.

*We’re dedicated to working with you to find a solution to access needs to help you participate in this event. We recognize that people have different needs – please get in touch via [email protected] if you have any access or inclusion needs, and please bring along anything that you need to help you participate.
