The EEF, The Bell Foundation and Unbound Philanthropy are seeking proposals from schools, local authorities, networks, research institutions, universities or other non-profit organisations who are interested in raising the attainment of children classified as having English as an Additional Language (EAL) from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Successful proposals will:
- focus on improving on improving learning outcomes for these pupils, and have some existing evidence of positive impact on their attainment;
- be funded to test the intervention across a number of schools;
- be evaluated by an independent evaluation team; and
- have the potential to be scaled-up further if shown to be cost-effective.
