Co-production in Wales – What it is and how to use it to improve your life, your community and your services

29th March 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Learning Disability Wales and Wales Co-production Network Seminar

Learning Disability Wales and The Wales Co-Production Network would like to invite you to a special one day event looking at co-production, what is it and how to use it in your life, community and to develop improved services.

Co-production means finding out what really matters to people and what they are passionate about and then helping them to do something about that passion which can lead to alternative routes to support and independence.

Co-production is a way of people, individuals, groups and communities, working with the people who provide services and together, from start to finish, they design better ways of doing things. This means that you get something back for what you put in – an exchange of skills and relationships.

This conference will give you a clear experience of what co-production is and why it is a good way of doing things,  The Seminar will show you examples of co-production in action, with particular focus on:

  • Values and principles behind co-production
  • Why co-production? Links to Person Centred Planning.
  • Levels of co-production – the difference it can make if used really well.

The day will also include a series of practical exercises that help us to co-produce and some examples of co-production in action.

For further information, prices and to book your place, please visit the Learning Disability Wales website.
