To all those across the city who have an interest in growing: You are warmly invited to a gathering of the Edible Cardiff Network.
To recap, Edible Cardiff is all about supporting individuals and groups of local people to come together to grow their own food and flowers, whether in a community garden, on the streets, in a communal space or on allotments. There is so much growing and good practice taking place across the city, but very often it could be better joined up. The aim of the network is to bring like-minded people together to explore how we can share ideas, concerns, resources, support and learn from one another, campaign, work together, secure funding, meet the needs of our local communities and create synergy. We can do and be so much more when we work together!
The gathering will take place on Wednesday 13th November at St Peter’s Church Hall, Fairwater:
5.45pm Arrival and delicious food
6.15pm Welcome and introduction to Edible Cardiff: Where have we go to so far?
6.30pm What next? Creating a network that is useful and meets local need
7.30pm Roundup, practical next steps to make the network a reality
7.45pm Finish
I have attached a poster for the event and would be grateful if you could forward this around your networks.
If you have something you’d like to add to the agenda, comments or thoughts, please let us know before if possible. Please confirm your attendance by replying to lisa@farmgarden.org.uk. Booking is essential to ensure we have enough delicious food for you all!
