Draft Child Poverty Strategy for Wales 2023

The Welsh Government’s Draft Child Poverty Strategy for Wales 2023 is open for consultation until 11th September 2023.

5 objectives have been identified which will be consulted upon:

1. To reduce costs and maximise the incomes of families.
2. To create pathways out of poverty.
3. To support child and family wellbeing, including those with protected characteristics.
4. To ensure children, young people and their families are treated with dignity and respect by support services.
5. To ensure effective cross-government working.
