Cardiff and Vale Public Health dietetic team are piloting a new Children and Families programme for families with children aged 27 months to 7 years in the southern arc of the city of Cardiff (City and South locality). To support the new pilot, C3SC has been commissioned to engage with families from Black and Asian Minority Ethnic Groups with children aged 27 months to 7 years old in Butetown, Grangetown, Riverside and Canton areas.
The aim is to identify key assets, gaps and issues around themes of food and nutrition, active play, physical activity and wider parenting skills.
Can you help?
We are inviting local voluntary groups and organisations working or with easy access to families from Black and Asian Minority Ethnic Groups with children aged 27 months to 7 years old in the areas of Butetown, Riverside, Canton and Grangetown.
We’d like you to help us by:
- Provide and promote the opportunity to engage with families from Black and Asian Minority Ethnic Groups with children aged 27 months to 7 years old in the areas of Butetown, Riverside, Canton or Grangetown
- Recruiting a minimum of 10 participants to attend a 45-60 minute conversation session
- Attending and supporting to run Focus groups/ conversation sessions with the families
What you’ll get in return
- You’ll receive £250 to recruit citizens (minimum 10) for a focus group/ conversation sessions, co-ordinate their attendance and support the session. You can apply up to £500 if recruiting for 2 focus groups targeting 2 different local communities (* please find categories below).
- Children activity packs for participants
Please submit the form below by 12pm, on Tuesday 12th July 2022. All engagement activities will need to be completed and information submitted to us by 12 noon on Monday 8th August 2022.
