This is a note to let you know about the new Childcare Offer for Wales national digital service: Childcare Offer extended as a new digital service is launched | GOV.WALES
This service replaces the old system where parents would apply for the Offer via their Family Information Service. The new system takes a national approach, is fully bilingual and makes applying for the Offer quicker and easier for eligible parents.
Benefits of the Offer include:
- Receiving up to 30 hours of funded early education and childcare a week, for up to 48 weeks of the year
- Childcare support during some of the school holidays
- Access to hundreds of childcare settings across Wales
- The chance to return to work or education, increase their working hours or work more flexibly.
Parents will be able to check their eligibility via our online eligibility checker here. Newly eligible parents can begin their application and read more about how to apply here.
All parents looking to access the Offer from January 2023 will need to apply online via the national digital service.
