Child Friendly Cardiff Pledge Call Out

Cardiff is the first city in Wales to participate in the UK committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK)’s national Child Friendly Cities  and Communities initiative. Their ambition is for Cardiff to be recognised as a Child Friendly City (CFC): a city with children and young people at its heart, where the rights of children and young people are respected by all, a great place to grow up.

CFC have recently refreshed their values and principles pledge, to reflect their new long-term approach to Child Rights and partnership ambitions across the city.

They are now asking existing partners to renew this partnership by signing the updated Child Friendly Cardiff Pledge. Organisations who are new to Child Friendly Cardiff are encouraged to learn about it more here and if interested, to sign the pledge. Partners can benefit from child rights training, access to resources and community engagement tools, and be kept up to date on relevant projects as well as any funding opportunities.

CFC will be bringing partners together in July 2023 to celebrate children’s rights and the great work that happens to ensure these rights are met. To be invited make sure you’ve signed the pledge!
