Bookings for the CAWR Annual Conference 2023 are now open. The conference is on Tuesday 20th June from 9 am – 4 pm. The theme this year is ‘Making a difference: creating connections’.
This free inter- and multi-disciplinary event will showcase the research and innovation work in the area of health, activity and wellbeing both at Cardiff Metropolitan University and further afield, through a range of UK-based and international partners. The conference will also be a chance to network with other people who either work, study or have an interest in the broad area of health, activity and wellbeing. It will be of interest to students, researchers and practitioners. This year’s focus for the conference is on creating connections to help solve some of our society’s challenges. The conference programme allows for ample time for both hearing about research and networking with the other delegates.
There are two keynote speakers at the conference:
- Dr Zdenek Hamrik, Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic. Adolescents’ participation in organized activities in Czechia and links with health, wellbeing and physical activity
- Jo Breckon, Studio Response, UK. Curating Connections: exploring the connection between art and wellbeing through Studio Response’s portfolio of public art commissions.
