This change is a result of the closure of the Care Collective on 31 March 2024.

The Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board was saddened to hear of the urgent financial difficulties faced by the Care Collective which led to the decision to cease trading.

The Care Collective (previously Carers Trust South East Wales) has provided the Carers Gateway in Cardiff and Vale as an information and advice line for unpaid carers since 2019 as well as domiciliary care in the region.

Since receiving news of the formal closure, partners across Cardiff Council, the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and a number of third sector partners have been working together to put alternative arrangements in place.

Our primary focus is that unpaid carers still have access to information and advice should they need it.

Unpaid carers remain a key priority in Cardiff and Vale You can find more information about what partners across the region have committed to doing to support unpaid carers by visiting our website: https://cavrpb.org/carers-charter/.

Mae’r newid hwn o ganlyniad i gau’r Gydweithredfa Gofal ar 31 Mawrth 2024.

Roedd Bwrdd Partneriaeth Rhanbarthol Caerdydd a’r Fro yn drist i glywed am yr anawsterau ariannol brys a wynebodd y Gydweithredfa Gofal a arweiniodd at y penderfyniad i roi’r gorau i fasnachu.

Mae’r Gydweithredfa Gofal (Ymddiriedolaeth Gofalwyr De-ddwyrain Cymru gynt) wedi darparu’r Porth Gofalwyr yng Nghaerdydd a’r Fro fel llinell wybodaeth a chyngor i ofalwyr di-dâl ers 2019 yn ogystal â gofal cartref yn y rhanbarth.

Ers derbyn newyddion am y cau ffurfiol, mae partneriaid ar draws Cyngor Caerdydd, Cyngor Bro Morgannwg, Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Caerdydd a’r Fro, a nifer o bartneriaid trydydd sector wedi bod yn cydweithio i roi trefniadau amgen ar waith.

Ein prif ffocws yw bod gofalwyr di-dâl yn dal i gael gafael ar wybodaeth a chyngor os bydd eu hangen arnynt.

Mae gofalwyr di-dâl yn parhau i fod yn flaenoriaeth allweddol yng Nghaerdydd a’r Fro. Gallwch gael mwy o wybodaeth am yr hyn y mae partneriaid ledled y rhanbarth wedi ymrwymo i’w wneud i gefnogi gofalwyr di-dâl trwy fynd i’n gwefan: https://cavrpb.org/carers-charter/.
