The next Cardiff Health and Social Care Network event is taking place on Tuesday 30 June from 10am to 1pm at Butetown Community Centre.
Come along if you are working in this field and want to keep up to date with the most significant policy and service-based developments that are likely to impact on your organisation.
The event will include:
- A conversation with Maria Battle, Chair of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, who is keen to discuss both common issues facing her organisation and its third sector partners, within a context of rapid financial and policy changes, as well as public and provider perceptions of current Cardiff and Vale UHB services and their priorities.
- An overview of the achievements and future work priorities of the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Substance Misuse Area Planning Board from Conrad Eydmann, Head of Substance Misuse Strategy and Development.
- A presentation from Matthew Coffin of Age Connects (Cardiff) regarding the organisation’s current work on an Activities Directory for the 50+ age group and the Health and Active Partnership Pilot Project.
- An opportunity to learn about the key changes that have recently been made to the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Strategic Framework for Working with the Third Sector 2015-16 and the implications of this across the City, which will be facilitated by David Poole, Operations Manager at Cardiff Third Sector Council.
We very much hope you can join us for what promises to be a very useful event, which will give you access to some of the key decision-makers working in the field. It will also provide you with an opportunity for your organisation to have its say on key current policy and service-based developments.
