Screening Awareness Sessions

Public Health Wales is offering free, interactive screening awareness sessions for individuals promoting health in their communities or workplaces. These three-hour sessions cover NHS Wales screening programmes and explore health inequalities in screening.

Wednesday, 18th September 2024 (English) | 10:00 – 13:00
Wednesday, 9th October 2024 (Welsh) | 10:00 – 13:00
Tuesday, 15th October 2024 (English) | 10:00 – 13:00
Wednesday, 13th November 2024 (English) | 13:00 – 16:00
Friday, 6th December 2024 (English) | 10:00 – 13:00

These sessions are ideal for Community Health Workers or Champions who want to raise awareness of NHS Wales screening programmes or promote screening in their communities. Participants will learn how to discuss screening, understand its benefits and risks, and access resources to promote screening effectively.

How to Book: To book your place, visit Community Training and Education – Public Health Wales (nhs.wales), select your preferred date and language, and complete the registration form. You’ll receive joining instructions and a reminder before the session.
